Robert Hollenbeck, Arvid Martin, Kenneth Day, Harold Gass, Kurt Kramer and Larry Lloyd.
Others Present: Consultants Heidi Hannan, and Jocelyn Wenk,
Building Inspector Paul Wilcox, and Recording Secretary Jessica Kirchoff.
1. Call to Order:
Chairman Larry Kennel called the meeting to order at 7:30p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
2. Roll Call:
Jessica Kirchoff, Recording secretary called the
roll.
3. Minutes:
The planning commission reviewed the minutes of the June 14, 2005
meeting. No corrections made.
Moved by Larry Lloyd supported
by Ken Day, to accept the minutes as presented. Motion Carried.

to the agenda: None
6. Public Time:
None
7. Building
Inspector’s Report: Paul Wilcox submitted his report. Some
concerns about a need for updated maps and a need for better identification of
house address numbers for emergency crews.

Hearings: None
9. Old Business:
A. Over the Edge Extreme Paintball – Birchler Arroyo submitted their review and seek
clarification before approval is recommended. (concerns
are in bold type in the review)
Item #2 – Will be referred
to at a public hearing.
Item #3b – Will require a
variance from the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Item #3e – Dust control
needs to be added to the site plan, and the parking area may be in need of
additional landscaping.
Item #4 –
Hours of operation. The applicant told the planning commission the
paintball is open from April to September, omitting July, weather
permitting. The hours of operation are 11am to 7pm Friday thru Sunday,
playing starts at 12pm and ends at 6pm.
Item #6 – Applicant needs
to show that each home is on a separate parcel in the site plan.
Applicant told the planning commission that he will submit the survey and tax
id numbers.
Item #7 – Submit to the
Zoning Board of Appeals.
Item #8 – Parking lot;
islands are required. Planning Commission agrees to wave the island
requirement and the applicant will brine to keep dust to a minimum.
Item #9 – Screening; the
planning commission believes that there is a sufficient amount of landscaping
and trees for proper screening.
Item #10 – The applicant
will screen the dumpster area to meet the ordinance requirements.
Item #11 – Signage; No sign
is purposed.
Item #12 – Applicant will
cover ticket booth with T111 board.
Item #13 – Port-o-john is
sufficient for its usage, will be re-evaluated if average play exceeds 30
people.
Public Concerns – When
traveling from the east, small buildings on the paintball field were visible,
especially in the winter time when trees are bare. The applicant agreed
to move the paintball field to the southwest so that the small bunker buildings
were not visible.
A Public Hearing for Over the Edge
Extreme Paintball is set for August 9, 2005.

11. Attorney’s Report: None
12. Planners Report: Received
correspondence with the condominium Preserves No. 2. Planners suggest
that a requirement of pre-application be added to procedures manual to save
time. It was also announced that Jocelyn will be the townships new
planner and she is on extension #14.
13. Adjournment: There being no
further business before the planning commission, it was moved by Ken Day
and supported by Kurt Kramer to adjourn the meeting at 9:15p.m. Motion
unanimously carried.
